A special message from Kendall Kunz, founder of Forms On Fire
Greetings,
For the past 13 years, building Forms On Fire has been the privilege of my career. Together with you, we have grown into a leader in the no-code space, solving complex problems with simple, elegant mobile solutions.
Today, I am writing to share the most significant milestone in our history.
I am thrilled to announce that Forms On Fire has been acquired by our long-time technology partner, Appenate Pty Ltd.
While the headlines will call this an acquisition, I view it as the ultimate unification of a decade-long partnership. For years, Forms On Fire has been the strategic driver of product design—translating your feedback into the features you use every day—while Appenate has served as the world-class engineering engine that brought those designs to life.
By formally merging, we remove the friction between strategy and execution. This isn't just about getting bigger; it’s about moving faster.
Here is what this new chapter unlocks for you:
- Accelerated Innovation: By bringing product strategists and developers onto a single team, we can iterate faster. We expect to be "blowing minds" in 2026 with new, robust AI-driven capabilities that we are designing right now.
- True 24/7 "Follow-the-Sun" Support: By combining our US operations with Appenate’s teams in Australia, Argentina, and South Africa, we are establishing a global support network that works around the clock. Whether it’s 2 PM in Seattle or 2 AM in London, we will be there.
- Stability & Continuity: The entire Forms On Fire team is joining the combined entity. I am personally not going anywhere; I will be serving as President of Appenate USA and assuming a global role as Chief Revenue Officer.
Leadership & Culture I also want to introduce you to Paul Du Bois, Appenate’s Founder and CEO. Much like me, Paul operates with an open-door policy and deeply values direct connection with clients. You will be hearing from him soon, and I know you will appreciate his passion for the platform.
What about the platform? Because we have spent the last decade collaborating on the core architecture, our technologies are already deeply aligned. Over the coming year, we will begin sunsetting the Forms On Fire brand in favor of the global Appenate brand, but here is my promise to you:
- No surprises: We will communicate any branding or domain changes months in advance.
- Business as usual: Your current logins, forms, and data remain exactly as they are right now.
- A guided path: Any future transition will be handled with the same "white glove" service you have come to expect from us.
Thank you for your trust, your brutally honest feedback, and your loyalty over the last decade. We are honored to take this next step with you.
If you have any questions, please reach out to any of our team members, or to me personally.
With deep gratitude and excitement,
Kendall Kunz
President, Appenate USA & Global Chief Revenue Officer

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA & BELLEVUE, WA - January 14, 2026 – Appenate Pty Ltd today announced the acquisition of Forms On Fire, Inc., merging two of the world's most innovative no-code mobility platforms into a single global entity. The combined organization will operate under the Appenate brand, creating a vertically integrated powerhouse designed to deliver next-generation AI mobile field solutions and 24/7 "follow-the-sun" support.
While operating as distinct entities, the two companies have shared a decade-long technology DNA. Forms On Fire has been instrumental in driving the design and solutions velocity for clients, pioneering solutions for the US market. This acquisition formally unifies that shared product and solutions expertise with Appenate’s global engineering scale.
"We are combining the architects with the builders," said Paul Du Bois, CEO of Appenate. "Forms On Fire has consistently pushed the boundaries of what our platform can do in high-compliance sectors like Retail, Energy, Field Service, and Manufacturing. By acquiring their operations and integrating their deep solution expertise, we are accelerating our roadmap, specifically in Applied AI and automated governance."
Strategic Highlights:
- Unified Innovation: Consolidating product design and engineering ensures faster deployment of AI-driven capabilities for data capture and analytics.
- Global 24/7 Support: The entity leverages teams in the USA, Argentina, Australia, and South Africa to provide seamless, round-the-clock telephone and technical support.
- Deep Vertical Expertise: The merger scales Forms On Fire’s proven solution sets in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Field Service Management to a global client base.
- Expanded Implementation Services: Appenate will now offer comprehensive solution architecture and implementation services worldwide, a capability previously exclusive to the US operations.
Effective immediately, Kendall Kunz, founder of Forms On Fire, will assume the role of President of Appenate USA and Global Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
"This is a multiplication of value for our clients," stated Kunz. "By joining forces, we strip away the barriers between market feedback and engineering execution. Our clients get the same robust platform they trust, now backed by a truly global support and services infrastructure."
