3 Ways to Create Better Fire Safety and Inspection Apps with the Help of Your Dog

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION WHITE PAPER

There is a massive trend in Fire Safety and Inspection apps happening right now across the world. The best positioned companies are taking advantage of no code development platforms to schedule tasks, dispatch forms, utilize data from their own systems, and instantly deploy mobile apps. These apps drastically reduce the time it takes field technicians to capture data on site. They also improve quality of data collection due to enforcing rules that are important to your business.

When data arrives back at the office, these no code platforms also reduce the amount of time required to re-enter, re-assemble, and distribute reports based on that data. In most cases, the time saved can be as much as 100%, giving its users a huge

return on investment. The quality of reporting is unmatched due to the automation process.

The final reports are also sent instantly, which improves communication and customer service. Final reports sent to customers, invoices sent to accounting, and operational data to sales and other personnel often require significant effort if you aren’t using an app. This white paper will show you 3 easy ways to create better fire safety and inspection apps.

But you’re probably asking, “how could my dog possibly help with this effort?” Keep reading and we’ll share how and why.

2. Integrate Data From Your Existing Systems

Now that you’ve taken the first step to start a free trial, you want to think about how data from your current systems can pre-populate your forms. For example, your CRM system is a good place to find client names, client addresses, and contact information. You can easily bring this data into Forms On Fire using one of the following methods:

Direct connector to Salesforce, SQL Server, SharePoint, etc.

Direct connector using REST Web Services

Connector using Zapier as an intermediary, which opens over 3,000 systems

No matter the method, using data from your current systems saves significant time for your field users. They no longer need to retype data from your existing systems and the data now has integrity, so it will always be spelled and formatted correctly. Users can also use dictation (if enabled) for talk-to-text. A great tool for long comments or reports.

Getting data is the first step, but sending data is the second. Using our powerful data connectors, whenever form data is sent from the field, you can direct that data to any of your current systems. Using one of the same three methods above will streamline your business processes. Even your dog can get excited about this!

Just How Can My Dog Help?

By now you’re wondering, “how can my dog help me with creating better fire safety and inspection apps?” First, allow me to tell you a story.

When I was in the first grade in the 60’s, our neighbor’s teenage daughter went off to girl scout camp. Upon returning home, she brought home a little lost puppy and dropped it off at our house. My brother, sister, and I fell in love at the first sight of him. We begged our parents to keep him. At the time, my father said we could keep him for three days and then we had to return him.

Three days went by, and we were only more in love with this cute little Fox Terrier mix. He was playful, loving, and attentive. Again, we begged to keep the dog and, to our surprise, our parents agreed.

When it came time to giving him a name, we began with how he looked. He had a mostly white coat with some large black spots. With our creative and witty minds at work, we decided to name him Spot. (What do you expect from three elementary school kids!).

Spot became the family mascot. He was always ready to play. Always ready to show us some new trick. We taught him to sit, lay down, bark (speak), and to roll over. The latter was my favorite. He would do it on command, for a treat or not…but mostly for treats.

Every time we looked at this little cute ball of fun, he was ready to help. No matter what we were doing, he made it better, putting a smile on our faces. So how can your dog help you to create better fire safety and inspection apps? Just ask him. Call him over, explain things to him. He’ll listen. He’ll make the whole process happier. When you create a free trial, ask him to sit next to you. As you’re designing your connectors, throw a stick and let him fetch it. And if you call us for help, put his face on Zoom for a snapshot and we’ll send you a box of dog treats! Dogs are helpful in so many ways but like our product, your dog will always put a smile on your face and help make anything you do better.
